LiveEnglish - Travel and Teach English in Korea. Process: E-2 Visa Application

Most teachers will need to apply for an E-2 visa to teach English at a school for one year.

To expedite the visa application process, please have the materials listed below prepared as soon as possible:

We highly recommend you begin collecting the necessary documents earlier rather than later, as it can take time to have everything in order. Once you accept an offer, the following process takes place (approximately 30 days):

  1. You send the following documents to LiveEnglish via FedEx, UPS, or DHL:
  2. LiveEnglish checks to make sure all documents are completed and accurate before forwarding them to the school.
  3. The school submits the documents to the immigration office in Korea to request visa sponsorship for you.
  4. The immigration office assigns a visa issuance number to the school.
  5. The school informs us of the visa issuance number, which we relay to you.
  6. You go to your local Korean consulate or embassy and submit the following:
