Most teachers will need to apply for an E-2 visa to teach English at a school for one year.

To expedite the visa application process, please have the materials listed below prepared as soon as possible:

• Original university diploma
• Sealed official transcripts from all universities attended (2 copies each)
• Completed health statement (.pdf)
• Criminal background check with apostille seal
• Valid passport with at least one blank page for the work visa
• 4 passport sized photos
• 1 photocopy of your passport information page
• 1 copy of your resume
• 2 copies of the signed contract

We highly recommend you begin collecting the necessary documents earlier rather than later, as it can take time to have everything in order. Once you accept an offer, the following process takes place (approximately 30 days):

1. You send the following documents to LiveEnglish via FedEx, UPS, or DHL:
   • a. Original university diploma
   • b. Sealed and signed official transcripts from all universities attended
   • c. Completed health statement
   • d. Criminal background check with apostille seal
   • e. 2 passport sized photos
   • f. 1 photocopy of your passport information page
   • g. 1 copy of your resume
   • h. 2 copies of the signed contract
2. LiveEnglish checks to make sure all documents are completed and accurate before forwarding them to the school.
3. The school submits the documents to the immigration office in Korea to request visa sponsorship for you.
4. The immigration office assigns a visa issuance number to the school.
5. The school informs us of the visa issuance number, which we relay to you.
6. You go to your local Korean consulate or embassy and submit the following:
   • a. Your passport
   • b. 2 passport sized photos
   • c. Completed visa application form
   • d. Visa issuance number
   • e. Completed health statement
   • f. Completed consul's checklist
   • g. One sealed official university transcript
